We have been making these cookies for over 25 years and just decided to rename them Superhero Cookies! They are packed with ingredients and the primary colored M&Ms are total comic book colors! You can make them any size, but why not make them SUPER size!!!! We won’t stop you from eating them for breakfast either!
Ingredients
1 cup butter, soft
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 1/2 cups oats
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 package (12 oz) semi sweet chocolate ships
1 1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 cup coconut
1 bag M&Ms, divided
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
In a stand mixer with a paddle attachment, beat butter until creamy. Beat in sugars. Beat in eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Beat in vanilla.
In a separate bowl, mix the flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder. Stir with a whisk.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and beat to combine.
Add the chocolate chips, nuts, coconut, and half the M&Ms.
Beat until just combined.
Line baking sheets with parchment. Use a large cookie scoop to scoop dough. Place on parchment lined baking sheet. Hand press remaining M&Ms into the top of the balls of dough. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
I packaged these up for a Young Women Camp activity involving superheroes.
