This is our all time most favorite most baked most eaten and most loved Christmas cookie recipe! It’s the same one our mom made when she was a little girl! We have to have these on hand at all times during December. They are perfect with a cup of cocoa and a Christmas movie!
Almond Spritz Cookies
1 cup butter, soft
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
2 teaspoons almond extract
2 1/2 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
In a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, beat the butter and sugar until fluffy. Add the egg and beat. Add the almond extract and beat. Add the flour and salt and beat until combined.
Place in a cookie press with desired shape – we love the tree, ornament, and flower. Press on ungreased baking sheet and sprinkle with colored sugar sprinkles.
Bake for 8 minutes.
