Caramel Sauce just makes life better! We’ve tried lots of recipes from melting white sugar down to a syrup, getting out the candy thermometer, only to find a science experiment left in the bottom of the sauce pan. This recipe is super easy and you can’t mess it up! Pour it on your favorite ice cream, apple pie, cake, or pancakes!
Caramel Sauce
1/2 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
2/3 cup heavy cream
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
pinch of salt
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Stir in brown sugar and cook and stir for 2 minutes. Mix in cream and cook and stir for 2 additional minutes. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and pinch of salt. Pour into desired container. Use immediately or store in refrigerator. Makes 1 pint jar.
You may want to double the batch because it goes quick!
Pour it on everything!!!
