Nothing fancy here – just a good old Buttermilk Pancake recipe! Our family has used this recipe for years and years – why mess with delicious!!!
Buttermilk Pancakes
(we double the recipe)
1 cup flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1 cup buttermilk
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Directions
Sift all the dry ingredients in a bowl.
In a separate bowl whisk the buttermilk, egg, and oil.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and whisk until combined.
Pour pancakes on a seasoned or greased pancake griddle or skillet set on medium-high. When lightly browned, flip pancakes. Serve with butter and maple syrup.
